May his presence protect us in the hour of our death

This booklet, The Life of St. Benedict, was one heck of a wild ride as Pope St. Gregory the Great relates to us from his coverage of this holy man of the One True God. Covering the saint's life, the main portion of the booklet goes over the various stories that St. Gregory the Great heard about this saint. Honestly, it has everything necessary to start a legend surrounding him as the stories are so wild and imaginative and inspiring and everything in between. From casting out demons, to calling out liars, to even reviving a child and filling oil barrels. The absolute legend of the man makes this book a must have as it also relates the vision of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich and his youth with his sister, to the impact of his life and monastic order, to the explanation of the Medal of St. Benedict and some prayers. Overall, the booklet does a fantastic job of explaining not only the life of this saint, but his immense power from faithful devotion. What a great read, from beginning to end, and great for all ages. 5 stars as this took my breath away and will definitely help anyone.
