Every educator needs encouragement and support when facing the challenges of teaching—whether it’s managing a noisy classroom, handling a tough parent conference, or navigating staff meetings and lesson planning. In A Saint Squad for Teachers, veteran teacher Amy Cattapan introduces forty-five saints ready to accompany and intercede for educators through every season of the school year.

Drawing from the inspiring lives and wisdom of these holy men and women, Cattapan helps teachers rediscover their joy and purpose in the classroom while finding strength for the difficulties of their vocation. Each saint serves as a heavenly mentor, offering both inspiration and powerful intercession.

Among the members of this “saint squad” are:

  • Thea Bowman for bringing joy and enthusiasm to teaching

  • Catherine of Siena for nurturing trust and respect with students

  • Charles Lwanga for protecting teachers and students from evil

  • Nicholas Black Elk for celebrating diversity in the classroom

  • Thomas Aquinas for inspiring struggling learners

  • Frances Cabrini for perseverance when resources are limited

Each chapter concludes with questions for reflection or discussion, making this book ideal for personal reading, team retreats, or professional development. A Saint Squad for Teachers is also a thoughtful gift for educators and catechists, celebrating their dedication to shaping minds and hearts.
