Good for readers, not read alouds

I was hoping this would be something our family would enjoy reading outloud. I don't think the stories worked well for that. I think it would be good for a young reader though. Note that in the first story the children enter a stranger's house alone without parental permission and eat a meal. Nothing wrong with the story at all. Another time another place. Just might be something to be aware of to remind of appropriate behavior with strangers.
