"A Heart For Europe" is a riveting book that introduces readers to the heartfelt story of Emperor Charles, the last Hapsburg ruler of the Austrio-Hungarian Empire. Now declared Blessed by Pope John Paul II in 2004, Emperor Charles was married to Princess Zita of Bourbon-Parma and inherited the throne in 1916 amidst World War One. Despite facing impossible odds, this devoted sovereign set out on a mission to bring peace to Europe and end the war. His efforts were recognized and he was honored with the title ‘Peace Emperor’ for his dedication to finding harmony in an otherwise tumultuous situation; however, two attempts to regain his Hungarian throne ultimately led him into exile on Madeira Island before his untimely death. This book is an account of Emperor Charles' life and his eternal commitment to bring unity and peace to our beloved continent - Europe. Through this poignant story, readers can walk together with Emperor Charles on his passionate journey as well as be inspired by his message that often times it only takes one heart filled with courage and fortitude to make a remarkable difference in our world.

A good introductory book on the subject.

I read this book many years ago and it was the first I had ever read on Blessed Karl and Zita. I have been a fan boy of them ever since.
