The Search for Saint Valeria

This book was entertaining. I just wish that certain things were not put in that can be an occasion of sin for me.

I absolutely love the Fr. John Baptist series. As a fairly Traditional Catholic myself, I can't even begin to describe how happy it makes me to read on page everything that is in my heart. The search for St. Valeria was a great read! I must admit, I was surprised that it is only 200 pages long but don't let that fool you. It is still a great story and had a surprising twist to be sure!

This little book in the Fr. John Baptist mystery series was thoroughly enjoyable. It's not as massive or filled with as much lore as The Darkness Did Not, but that only serves to make it more of a page-turner. Small investment in time, great return with an excellent surprise waiting for one at the end. Our cast of characters entertains the reader as much as usual, and I was happy to see Monsignor Havermeyer getting more respect in this volume.

The Search for Saint Valeria. This book was a real page turner. It was hard to put done. I just had to read one more page and than I found that I had completed the book. I gave this book to a friend and they said the same thing. I have to ask "More please" of this same type of mystery book
I am waiting for the next title from this author. I have read them all.

Mr. Biersach provides a thought provoking solution to the sacrileges of our times through the courage and greatness of heart of that merry band "the Tumblars." Another great book by Mr. Biersach.

Our family are big fans of Wm. Biersach writings, both his non-fiction and
fiction. I bought another copy of two of his Fr.John Baptist Mysteries, because
I loaned them out and never got them back! (Can't break up the set.)
The Search for Saint Valeria was a quick, quirky and fun read, in keeping with the style and humor found in the first two books of this series. All the more impressive in that it was written in eleven days! Divinely inspired? Quite possibly!
Now we want to know when the next books of his latest series "And WhereIn You Stand" will be published?! Put us on the waiting list!

With its length standing at a modest 212 pages, the best word to describe the style for The Search for Saint Valeria would be "expeditious." When embarking on Biersach's other novels, you had to strap in, realizing that all non-essential life duties would be put on hold until the book was finished. While that's also the case with The Search for Saint Valeria, it's for a much smaller time span, so you don't feel the same amount of pressure. So sit back, relax, and enjoy yet another outstanding monument erected by Biersach in defense of Catholic tradition.
