Father Paul of Moll
Father Paul of Moll, born Francis Luyckx, was a nineteenth-century Flemish Benedictine whose humility and prayer earned him a reputation as a wonderworker. Though he longed for a hidden monastic life, he was entrusted with founding the monastery of Steenbrugge and restoring the ancient Abbey of Afflighem.
This classic account gathers the testimony of friends and contemporaries who knew him: his tireless care for the poor, his gift of reading souls, and the many healings attributed to his prayers and to his great trust in St. Benedict and the Medal of St. Benedict.
A moving portrait of a humble monk wholly given to God, and an encouragement to confident, persevering faith.
