Peace of Soul is the most challenging and spiritually stimulating of all the books written by Sheen. Written for men and women of all creeds, it provides a wise, personal guidance to those confused and bewildered by the chaos of our materialistic age.
In the book, Sheen discusses such vital human problems as:
- the philosophy of anxiety
- psychoanalysis and confession
- sex and love of God
- repression and self-expression
- remose and pardon
- fear of death
- is God hard to find?
- the psychology of conversion
Based on the wealth of his understanding and experience, here is a truly significant message which will have an immediate and lasting effect on your life and happiness.
"A fascinating book - stimulating, provocative." - Chicago Sun Times
"A billiant volume." - San Francisco Monitor
"A great book." - Fort Wayne New Sentinel
"Certain to have a profound impact on modern thought." - Houston Chronicle
"A work that fills a great human need." - Catholic Readers Club
Archbishop Sheen is known for his preaching and especially his work on television and radio. His cause for canonization as a saint was officially opened in 2002. In June 2012, Pope Benedict XVI officially recognized a decree from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints stating that he lived a life of "heroic virtues" - a major step towards beatification - so he is now referred to as "Venerable."
